Inclusion Criteria
All patients under ASA grade I- III for TURP and PCNL were included in the study (there was no specific lower or upper age limit)
Exclusion Criteria
The following patients were excluded from the study:
1. Patients with chronic renal failure.
2. Patients with hepato- biliary dysfunction.
3. Patients with pre- operative biochemical derangements.
4. Patients with local anesthetic allergies.
5. Patients with contraindications to subarachnoid block (in TURP patients).
