Inclusion Criteria
1.Transfemoral amputee, aged 18-60 years
2.Duration of amputation of at least 6 weeks
3.Healthy amputation stump
4.Functional contralateral lower limb
Exclusion Criteria
1.Amputees unable to walk because of other associated injuries (head injuries, other solid visceral injuries where bed rest has been advised).
2.Patients unable to follow for a period of three months after providing the prosthesis.
3.Patients not willing to provide consent for the study.

Assessment of the mobility function of the joint by measuring fixed distance walk test (20 meter walk test), fixed time walk test (two minute walk test), heart rate and physiological cost index <br/ ><br>2.
