The participants included in the study are; the participants have experienced spontaneous upper pain for longer than 3 months (chronic) and that at least one trigger point will present in the trapezius muscles. Trigger points will be diagnosed as the presence of focal tenderness in a taut band with pain recognition, jump signs and switch responses; moderate level of pain (4-6 score) and consent to participate in the research, The participants will be able to follow instructions. At the time of the research, they must stop using painkillers, NSAIDs, and/ or other forms of treatment for at least 1 month.
Patients will be excluded from the study based on any history of disease or disorder that may be contraindicated for Court-type traditional Thai massage such as contagious skin disease, injury or inflammation of muscle, bone fracture and/or joint dislocation, open wounds, and cervical radiculopathy, pregnant or breastfeeding women, prevailing fever of over 37.5 °C, hypertension with the systolic pressure of 140 mm Hg or higher and/or the diastolic pressure of 90 mm Hg or higher.
