Inclusion criteria
•Male or female patients aged 20-60 years old
•Expression of symptoms of MPS in the right or left upper trapezius or both lasting for at least three months
•Expression of at least two of the following manifestations of CROM problems:
•Flexion of lower than 45º (from the normal range of 45-50º)
•Extension of lower than 45º (from the normal range of 45-50º)
•Lateral flexion of lower than 45º (from the normal range of 45º)
•Having experienced a pain level of at least 3 on a visual analog scale (VAS)
•Expression of symptoms of taut bands and referred pain
•No use of diclofenac over the past one month
•Having not received any other form of treatment within the last one month
•Willingness to participate throughout the study period
Exclusion criteria
•History of hypertension, cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis, cancer, herniated disc, and contagious skin disease, such as scabies
•History of neck, spinal, or costa fractures, cracks, or splits that had not completely mended
•Having received any other form of treatment, such as conventional medication and acupunture, within the last one month
