to As per Ayurveda,vitiated ama and vata simultaneously lodge in Trika and sandhi leading toshotha (swelling), stabdha (stiffness) in the body and joints .
The condition is known as Aamvata. This condition is very similarwith disease Rheumatoid arthritis described in modern medicine. Rheumatoidarthritis is a chronic multisystem disease of unknown cause. Thecharacteristics feature of rheumatoid arthritis is persistent inflammatorysynovitis usually involving peripheral joints in a symmetric distribution.
Modern medicalsciences has made so many advancement but exact aetiopathogenesis of rheumatoidarthritis is yet not clear. According the classical Ayurvedic text, the rootcause behind the pathogenesis of Aamvata is Agnimandhya. The agni is importantfactor in the digestion and metabolic process . Agnimandhya is a condition atlevel of jathragni in which food remain partially digested which has been termed"Aam". The etiological factors of Aamvata has been mentioned in theAyurvedic classics to develop Aam, which combines with vata dosh leading to thedevelopment of Aamvata disease.

排除标准
- •Patients of rheumatoid arthritis having any other feature like hypertension diabetes mellitus cardiac disease hypothyroidism osteoarthritis gout arthritis pregnant and lactating mother.
