1. Multigravida women admitted in Lady Goshcen hospital for safe confinement, who undergo normal vaginal delivery.
2. Single intra-uterine gestation.
3. Women more than 18 years of age.
4. Women with at least 1 live born child
5. Women literate in kannada.
6. Women willing to bring their child to RAPCC hospital at 6 months.
7. Women with access to smart phone.
8. Neonates which are tern and AGA.
1. Women who exclusively breastfed their infants till 6 months in their previous pregnancies.
2. Women not willing to breastfeed or have contraindication to breastfeeding.
3. Women with post-partum complications requiring ICU admissions.
4. Women who have already received education on essential new born care via flip-charts or videos in previous pregnancies.
5. Neonates with gross congenital malformations.
6. Neonated requiring NICU admission.

- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Baseline and retention knowledge of the 3 study groups will be assessed with the help of a pre-test and a post-test questionnaire respectively, and the percentage of knowledge enhanced in each group will be assessed using Friedmans testTimepoint: Baseline knowledge will be assessed on 24 hours after delivery and retention knowledge will be assessed at 6 months after the delivery.
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Type of feeding practiced will be recorded in the proforma and the infant feeding pattern over 6 months will be summarised as numbers and proportions using appropriate tables and figures.Timepoint: Type of feeding will be recorded at 2, 4 and 6 months of age.;Weight, length and head circumference of the infants will be recorded and plotted on the WHO Growth chart, and will be assessed using ANOVA test.Timepoint: The anthropometric measures will be recorded at birth and then 6 months of life.
