Inclusion Criteria
1)Aged between 18 and 65 years
2)Primary diagnosis is a personality disorder diagnosed with the SCID-II.
Exclusion Criteria
1)A posttraumatic stress disorder determined with the Mini International Neuropsychiatric Interview (MINI)
2)High suicide risk (operationalized by a suicide attempt within the past 6 months, current suicidal intention or severe automutilation).

Name Time Method The main study parameter is the difference in the level of psychological symptoms before and after treatment between the patients in the experimental and the control group, measured with the Brief Symptom Inventory (BSI).
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method The secondary endpoint of the study is the difference in the level of psychological symptoms<br>(measured with the BSI) between the two groups three months after treatment as usual for personality disorders has started. <br /><br>Another secondary endpoint of the study is the difference in the global level of personality functioning (measured with the GAPD) between the two groups before and after the intervention/waiting time.<br /><br /><br><br><br>Another endpoint is the level of psychological progress measured with the OQ-45 (Lambert & Finsh, 1999). This self-report scale was designed to measure patient progress in therapy by repeated administration during the course of treatment and at termination.
