20(Year) to 80(Year) (—)

Inclusion Criteria

  • Patients who receive lumbar or thoracic spine surgery under general anesthesia with ASA (American Society of Anesthesiologists) physical class I-III, aged 20-80 years.
  • Patients with modified Mallampati class III or higher in pre-anesthesia airway evaluation.

Exclusion Criteria

  • Patients who do not agree with the study
  • Patients with a history of gastroesophageal reflux
  • Patients who has not fasted
  • Patients with congenital or acquired upper respiratory lesions
  • (Ex. tumor, polyp, trauma, abscess, inflammation, foreign body, etc.)
  • Patients with a history of airway-related surgery, radiation therapy
  • Patients with increased risk of airway aspiration or coagulopathy
  • patients who have severely weak teeth
