1.Women with Stage 1B â?? IIIB cervical cancer, who are undergoing concurrent chemoradiation.
2.The participants will need to be 18 years of age or older.
3.Participants must have an Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group (ECOG) performance status of 0 to 1
4.Newly diagnosed with a histologically or cytologically confirmed ca Cervix
5.Ability to understand and the willingness to sign an institutional review board (IRB)-approved written informed consent document
6.No contraindications to participating in a yoga program
7.Able to come for clinic visits, and attend weekly classes, and fill out
8.Gives informed consent, agrees to be randomly assigned
1.Patients who have practiced yoga or taken yoga classes in the year prior to diagnosis will be excluded.
2.Participants who have regularly (defined as 4 or more days per week) engaged in vigorous physical activity (i.e., causes heavy breathing, sweating, rapid fatigue; can be sustained for short periods, like running or swimming strongly) over the past 4 weeks
3.Patients with extreme mobility issues (e.g., unable to get in and out of a chair unassisted) will be excluded.
4. Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group (ECOG) performance status of >2
5.Any concurrent medical condition that was likely to interfere with the treatment,
6.Major psychiatric, neurological illness or autoimmune disorders, and
7.known metastases
