- •(1\) delirium due to metabolic intoxication and drug use; (2\) alcoholism, stroke, depression, manic state, and schizophrenia before the onset of FTD; (3\) previous use of Yokukansan, major tranquilizers, and antidepressants; (4\) neoplastic disease and acute inflammation

Sympthomatic and prophylactic treatment of drug induced oral dryness in elderly patients with high drug consumption. - Drug induced oral drynessOral dryness is a common problem with serious consquences, especially among elderly individuals. The most common reason for oral dryness is drug consumption. Research has shown that an individual with more than 5 prescribed drug is at risk for oral problems. Drug consumtion is increasing among elderly, mostly due to lack in cooperation in the health care system.
