Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • 1\. Age greater than or equal to 40\.
  • 2\. Diagnosed to have COPD graded according to Global Initiative for Obstructive Lung Disease (GOLD) as mild to very severe.
  • 3\. Receiving ongoing COPD medications.
  • 4\. Patient with or without smoking history.
  • 5\. Competent enough to consider informed consent.
  • 6\. All patients who are interested in quitting smoking.

Exclusion Criteria

  • 1\.Patients with history of asthma, allergic rhinitis, lung operation, or other respiratory disease.
  • 2\. Patients with history of serious concomitant diseases such as heart failure, liver, or renal failure.
  • 3\. Severe mobility problems or terminal illness.
  • 4\. Mental disability.
  • 5\. Active alcohol or drug abuse.
  • 6\. Inability to understand the program.
  • 7\. Inability of informal care at home.
  • 8\. Unavailability of telephone system at home
