Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •ASA PS 1 AND 2
  • •OPEN ANDOMINAL GYNAECOLOGICAL PROCEDURES OF MORE THAN 2 HOURS DURATION REQUIRING GA WITH ETT AND IPPV
  • •BMI 18\-30 kg/m2

Exclusion Criteria

  • •Patients on sedatives/hypnotics preoperatively
  • •Haemodynamically unstable patients with large fluid shifts
  • •Patients in altered sensorium (GCS \< 15\)
  • •Hypothermic patients (core body temperature \< 35ï?°C)
  • •Patients with psychiatric illness/alcohol abusers
  • •Requiring head, neck or laparoscopic surgeries
  • •Patients scheduled for surgery for acute burns
