Inclusion Criteria
1)Patients from 4-12 years of age
2)Patients where the duration of admission >/ 4 days
3)Informed consent obtained from parents or legal guardians.
4)Patients who have been admitted to the PICU who are undergoing general or surgical treatment
Exclusion Criteria
1)Subjects with a communicable disease
2)Patients who were admitted <4 days.
3)Parents who did not give consent.
4)Patients who can maintain their oral hygiene.
5)Patients who acquired pneumonia on admission to the PICU
