- Brief Summary
The GEE analysis had shown that, the participants who were receiving safe patient handling intervention had 3.6 more likely to have no MSD as compared to control groups. There was increase of 2 score of knowledge of safe patient handling, increased of safe patient handling practice by 4.9 score and decreased in perceived barrier by 2.7 score at 6 month post intervention. However there was no significant difference between intervention and control groups in term of knowledge and other HBM constructs on perceived susceptibility, severity, benefit and cues of action after the intervention.

The nurses is a Malaysian, permanent or temporary staff who had been working more than 12 month duration and directly manage the elderly residents.
The nurse who are pregnant, long leave, medical leave, having spine or rheumatologic diseases or who are having MSD symptoms due trauma or accident.
