Immediate effect of Spinal Mobilizations on Postural Sway and Posture in individuals with mechanical back pain
Aim: To study immediate effects of Spinal Mobilizations to Cervical, Thoracic, and Lumbar spine on postural sway and posture in patients with mechanical back pain.
Objectives:
1. To find out immediate effect of spinal mobilization technique on postural sway posture in individuals with mechanical back pain.
2. To find out immediate effect of spinal mobilization technique on posture in individuals with mechanical back pain.
3. To find out immediate effect of spinal mobilization technique on postural sway on pain in individuals with mechanical back pain.
Need of study:
Individuals with nonspecific back pain are susceptible to have impaired posture and balance due to disturbed alignment of spine and as a result of pain. Postural control is not specific to any one region; but it’s a combination of proprioceptive inputs from cervical, thoracic and lumbar region all together. Therefore realignment of the entire spine by mobilizations might be more effective and necessary than giving the mobilization to the affected area alone. This study will help generate evidence whether spinal mobilizations are effective in improving postural sway and posture, and whether this technique can be integrated in routine practice to treat patients with neck pain and back pain.

入选标准
- •Young and middle aged adults between age group 18-55 years 2.Patients with mechanical back pain (Cervical, Thoracic or Lumbar region).
排除标准
- •Contraindications to spinal mobilizations such as recent fractures, infections, metastasis, Spinal deformities, Cervical or thoracic pathology producing neurological symptoms in lower limbs.
- •Individuals with severe disc prolapse causing neurological deficits.
- •Individuals with vertebrao-basilar insufficiency/ cervicogenic dizziness/vertigo/deafness
- •Individuals undergone joint replacement surgeries (hip/knee)
- •Individuals with grade 3,4 osteoarthritis of hip/knee
- •Individuals with compromised higher mental functions.
