Being female. At least 60 years of age. Be physically independent. Have a body mass index greater than 24.9 kg / m². Obtain a minimum score of 14 on the mini mental state exam (FOLSTEIN et al., 1975). Absence of musculoskeletal or cardiovascular disorders that make it impossible to perform high-intensity physical exercises. Be at least six months without performing any regular physical activity.
Attendance rate below 80%. Miss any of the evaluation sessions. Begin some type of regular exercise practice in addition to that proposed in this work during the intervention period.
