Study Overview

Brief Summary

Dermatophytes are also known as ringworm/Tinea or fungal infection. Dermatophytes have three main genera i.e. Trichophyton which is most common ( found in hair, skin and nails), second one is Microsporum ( primarily found in hair and skin) and third one is Epidermophyton (found in skin and nails). Fungal infection presents as round, erythematous, scaly, pruritic plaques with well defined edges and central clearing. Lesions are polymorphic involving axilla, chest, abdomen, scalp, lower back, groins and nails. Intense itching and burning is present.

At the end of study, it will be found  that which miasm is dominant in dermatophytosis and  individualized homoeopathic medicine after proper case taking with proper repertorization will cure the patients who are suffering from fungal infection. It is expected that the patient improves symptomatically which is evident through the valid scale (Dermatology Life Quality Index)
