Inclusion criteria
Patients coming to JIPMER general surgery OPD and casualty during the study period fulfilling the following criteria
All patients with Chronic fissure in ano (symptoms >6 weeks, fissure with hypertrophied anal papilla and sentinel pile) above 18yrs age
1.Patients with cardiovascular illness, heart failure, diabetes
2.Patient having secondary causes if fissure such as HIV/AIDS, inflammatory bowel disease, malignancy and dermatological conditions like psoriasis.
3.Patients taking Diltiazem or Nifedipine drug.
4.Patients on chronic use of analgesics such as for head-ache
5.Patient denying consent

Name Time Method To compare the effectiveness of Topical sucralfate with <br/ ><br> <br/ ><br>standard of care and standard of care alone in relieving pain of patients with Chronic Fissure in Ano at 2 weeks. <br/ ><br>(Drugs used in standard of care are 0.3% Nifedipine and 1.5 % Lignocaine cream) <br/ ><br>Timepoint: 2 WEEKS <br/ ><br>
