Inclusion Criteria

Adult patients scheduled for breast surgery, parotid surgery, thyroid surgery, gynaecological surgeries.

Aged between 20-60 years

ASA physical status I or II

At a high risk for PONV with at least 2 of the 4 risk factors mentioned below

1 Female patients

2 Non smoking status

3 Past h/o PONV or motion sickness

4 Postoperative opioid use

Exclusion Criteria

1. Pregnant patient

2. Menstruating patients

3. History of GERD

4. Antemetic medication, nausea or vomiting prior to surgery

5. Major intraabdominal,thoracic, pelvic and reconstructive surgeries
