Patients who were diagnosed by the cardiologist with IHD including myocardial infarction, angina, or who with or without revascularization after 1 month of the event with ejection fraction between 30%-45% and referred routinely for cardiac
rehabilitation
Patients with unstable angina, severe pulmonary
hypertension, myocarditis, cardiomyopathies and corrected
as well as uncorrected valvular disease.
? Patients with impaired hearing and vision - as they will not
co-operate and adhere to the treatment.
? Patient not able to ambulate - as exercise tolerance test
won’t be able to measure.
? Patients with Health Questionnaire-9 score >4 (as
depressed patients will have less compliance. Patients
identified to have depression scores less than or equal to 4
will be referred for appropriate counseling).
? Breathlessness with New York Heart Association (NYHA)
class IV (patients with fatigue, palpitations, dyspnea at
rest). (Appendix-I)
