Our study is to determine the effect of 10mg prophylactic ephedrine iv bolus on the incidence of hypotension during elective cesarean section under spinal anesthesia.

Inclusion Criteria

All pregnant females with singleton pregnancy.

Exclusion Criteria

1.Patients with Preoperative hypotension, 2.Pregnancy‑induced hypertension, 3.Eclampsia, 4.Essential hypertension (diagnosed on history, BP records, and lab findings on antenatal visits), 5.Any known cardiovascular disease (valvular heart disease, cardiomyopathies) 6.Failed spinal block 7.Total spinal converted to general anesthesia 8.CS indication secondary to placenta previa.
