BMI according to age related normative values according to IAP chart(gender-specific BMI-for-age percentile curves)
For obese children,
BMI > 20.5-23.8 in boys and BMI. >21.9-25.6 in girls.
And for normal children,
BMI >16.4-18.5 in boys and BMI >16.5-19.1 in girls.
1. Children with any recent history of surgery.
2. Children having any musculoskeletal (deformities, joint pain, muscle spasm etc.), neuromuscular (cerebral palsy, Duchene Muscle Dystrophy, Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, spina bifida etc.), metabolic disorders, psychological disorder (anxiety disorders, depression etc.), allergic conditions, genetic disorders, carcinoma etc.
3. Children participating in specialised training activities outside school for any sports, going to any workout or yoga class.
4. Child is currently on medications like Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors (SSRIâ??s), Benzodiazepines, allergy medications, muscle relaxants etc.

Name Time Method BMI, waist circumference, skin fold measurement and percentage body fat.Cardio-respiratory endurance using 20 metre shuttle run test.Flexibility using sit and reach test.Upper extremity strength using dynamometer. <br/ ><br>Lower extremity strength using standing broad jump test.Agility by shuttle run test. <br/ ><br>Timepoint: one time <br/ ><br>
