简要总结

This randomized controlled study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of cross eccentric quadriceps strength training compared to standard rehabilitation in improving functional disability and quadriceps strength among collegiate football players who have undergone anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction. A total of 60 participants meeting the inclusion criteria will be recruited and randomly allocated into two groups: an experimental group receiving cross eccentric quadriceps strengthening and a control group receiving conventional rehabilitation.

Baseline assessments will be conducted after obtaining informed consent, measuring functional disability using the Knee Injury and Osteoarthritis Outcome Score (KOOS) and the International Knee Documentation Committee (IKDC) subjective knee evaluation form, along with isometric quadriceps strength using a dynamometer. The intervention will be administered over a 12-week period, with follow-up assessments performed at 6 weeks and 12 weeks by blinded assessors.

The primary outcome measure will be functional disability, while isometric quadriceps strength will serve as a secondary outcome. Data will be analyzed using appropriate parametric or non-parametric statistical tests based on data distribution, with normality assessed using the Shapiro–Wilk or Kolmogorov–Smirnov tests. Ethical approval will be obtained prior to study commencement, and the study will adhere to the principles of the Declaration of Helsinki. The findings are expected to provide evidence-based guidance for optimizing rehabilitation protocols in athletes following ACL reconstruction.
