Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • 1\.Pregnant women between 16\-34 weeks of gestation heamoglobin levels between 7\-9gm/dl
  • 2\.microcytic and hypochromic picture in peripheral smears

Exclusion Criteria

  • 1\.Anemia due to other causes\-heamolytic,thalassemia,sickle cell disease,hypersplenism.
  • 2\.Infection and inflammation.
  • 3\.Liver and renal disease
  • 4\.Early pregnancy.
  • 5\.History of blood transfusion in present pregnancy.
  • 6\.History of allergy to inj.iron sucrose complex or inj.ferric carboxy maltose
