Inclusion Criteria

three hundred nine patients of ASA physical status I and III, aged 18-60 years, scheduled for surgery requiring general anaesthesia and orotracheal intubation will be included in the study

Exclusion Criteria

Patients with difficult airway because of upper airway pathology, anatomical deformity of face and neck, extremes of height (less than 150cm/greater than 180 cm), restricted neck movements, edentulous, uncooperative patients, obese with BMI>= 35 kg/m2, pregnant females and those undergoing emergency surgery will not be included in the study.
