1)Age group 21 – 60yrs
2)Willing to participate in the study
3) ASA1 , ASA2
4)undergoing elective cesarean and urological surgeries.
Patients refusing consent.
Emergency surgery and day care surgeries
patients taking one of the studied drugs (ondansetron or dexamethasone)
Patients with Dementia, substance abuse, neurologic or seizure disorder, muscular disorder, coagulopathy, severe hepatic and renal impairment, history of allergy to local anaesthetics, previous back surgery, infection or mass at the site of injection and vertebral column deformity, history of peptic ulcer, diabetes mellitus and hypothyroidism
Uncooperative and unwilling patients
Patients having fever or hypothermia or requiring blood transfusion and operations more than two hours.
Impaired cardiovascular status
