Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • Patients with major depressive disorder/dysthymia diagnosed by both psychologist and psychiatrist with a GDS(30\) sore of at least 11 who suffer from rumination. Patients have to be able to conduct a 7 week training consisting of 2hrs weekly sessions with homework assignments.

Exclusion Criteria

  • severe risk of suicide
  • No fluency of Dutch language
  • Mental retardation
  • Alcohol abuse or dependency
  • MMSE score\<23
  • Unwillingness
