Inclusion Criteria

(1) Age between 18-65 years

(2) Patients of either gender

(3) Patients belonging to American society of Anesthesiologists [ASA] physical status 1 and 2 (4) Patient undergoing elective day care procedure under general anesthesia

Exclusion Criteria

(1) Restricted mouth opening (mouth opening less than 2 finger breadths) (2) Airway obstruction/disease (3) Patient with history suggestive of gastro-esophageal reflux disease (4) Morbid obesity [BMI more than 35kg/m2] (5) Pregnancy (6) Head and neck surgery (7) Recent sore throat within previous 10 days (8) Patients on NSAID therapy (9) Patient with known sensitivity to drugs used in study (10) Cervical spine disease (11) Patient on corticosteroid therapy (12) Patient with known laryngeal nerve palsy (13) Patient with psychiatric and mental illness
