1.Age >18 ,consent giving to participate
2.All consecutive hospitalized patients of cirrhosis with ascites and AKI (all etiologies of cirrhosis will be included) .
3.Diagnosis of the patients will be made on the basis of LFTs, imaging, upper GI endoscopy, ascitic fluid analysis and liver biopsy if needed,
4.Grade 2 & 3 ascites.(international ascites club )2
(2)EASL practice guidelines on management of ascites ,SBP,HRS in cirrhosis ,2010.
1.Refusal to participate
2.Overt Hepatic Encephalopathy, Active Upper GI Bleed, Chronic Kidney Disease Stage-4, Spontaneous Bacterial Peritonitis, Hepatocellular Carcinoma, Hepatic venous outflow obstruction, HIV, Non Cirrhotic Portal Hypertension, portal venous thrombosis.
3.Ascites due to other causes like tuberculosis, constrictive pericarditis, etc.
