1.Patients diagnosed with non-metastatic HCC
2.Aged 18 to 75 years
3.ASA physical status I-III
4.Scheduled for elective major hepatic resection
1. Unsuccessful epidural catheter insertion for pain control
2. Patients refusal
3. Diagnosed with recurrent HCC before the research participation
4. Known allergy to medications used in the research protocol
5. Severe systemic diseases such as cardiovascular, respiratory, or endocrine system conditions
6. Frequent users of anxiolytics and opioids
7. Addiction to alcohol or drug abuse
8. Psychiatric conditions
9. Immunocompromised or receive immunosuppressive drugs within 6 months
10. Diagnosed with or family history of malignant hyperthermia.
