Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •Age above 65 years who are undergoing cardiac surgery
  • •LVEF \> 50%

Exclusion Criteria

  • •Contraindications to intrathecal analgesia like allergy, patient refusal
  • •Preexisting chronic pain
  • •Opioid abuse
  • •psychiatric disorders
  • •Previous surgery in the thoracic vertebral region
  • •Preexisting neurological condition
  • •Severe respiratory disease
  • •Expected postoperative mechanical ventilation duration pre than 6 hours
  • •Renal dusfunction
