Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •Adult \= 18 years \= 90 years old
- •Able to comprehend, sign and date the written informed consent document to participate in the clinical trial
- •Scheduled for total knee arthroplasty
- •ASA Class I, II or III as assigned by the anesthesiologist
- •Are the trial subjects under 18? no
- •Number of subjects for this age range:
- •F.1\.2 Adults (18\-64 years) yes
- •F.1\.2\.1 Number of subjects for this age range 50
- •F.1\.3 Elderly (\>\=65 years) yes
- •F.1\.3\.1 Number of subjects for this age range 50
Exclusion Criteria
- •Allergy or inability to tolerate one of the medications used in this study (cfr. 6\.2\) or other medications used during general anesthesia
- •Weight less than 50 kilograms
- •Women with childbearing potential not using contraception
- •Pregnant and nursing women
- •Participation in a clinical trial within the past 30 days
