Patient:
•Individuals fulfilling the criteria for a primary diagnosis of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder according to DSM-IV.
•Patients should have been treated with medicine (SSRIs) for the past 2 months
•Patients whoâ??s Y BOCS score is greater than 20.
•Patients with minimum of 1 year duration of illness
•Patients who are between 18 - 45 years of age
•Patients who have family member staying with them at-least for last one year and have been involved in the care of the patient.
•Patients who give consent to participate in the study
Family member:
•The person who is related by blood or by marriage and staying with the patient for the past 1 year and also primarily involved in the care of the patient.
•Family members who give consent to participate in the study.
Patient:
•Patients with organic mental disorder.
•Patients with primary diagnosis of Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective disorder, or Bipolar disorder.
•Patients with serious concomitant medical disorders and with severe physical ailments that can impair significant physical/ occupation performance.
•Mental retardation
•Any history suggestive of organic basis for the illness.
•Patients who are resistant for 2 or more SSRIs treatment
Family member:
1.Family member diagnosed of having severe psychiatric or neurological disorders
2.Family member involved in the care of another family member suffering from serious physical or mental illness.
3.Family member who have already received similar intervention package.

- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method 25% fall in Y-BOCS score from the baseline and have a score of 1 or 2 on CGI-Improvement scale (score on CGI- Improvement 1 means very much improved and 2 means much improved)Timepoint: 3 months

Name Time Method Score on Family Burden Schedule (Pai & Kapur, 1981), OCD Family Functioning (OFF) Scale - Relative Version (Stewart et.al., 2011), Family Accommodation Questionnaire(Calvocoressi, et al., 1995), World Health Organization Quality of Life Scale (WHOQOL-BREF) (WHO, 1996)and Family Emotional Involvement and criticism Scale (Shield et al 1992) <br/ ><br>Timepoint: 3 months
