Inclusion Criteria

Having ischemic cerebral infarction confirmed by imaging (CT scan or MRI) in the territory of middle cerebral artery, Admission on hospital during 24 hours after the event, Age older than 60 years old, Subjects or legally acceptable representatives (first degree relatives) is willing and able to provide written informed consent, Having the ability to swallow normally and to comply the study schedule of treatment
Exclusion criteria: Having the evidence of intra-cerebral hemorrhage or hemorrhagic conversion on brain imaging, Any other brain pathology other than current ischemic infarction, Previous history of stroke, Signing old stroke in brain imaging, Existence of systemic disease: COPD, severe asthma, CO2 narcosis, renal failure, severe congestive heart failure, uncontrolled hypertension, uremia, cirrhosis, psychosis, dementia
