Inclusion Criteria

1)Patients attending PMR OPD, AIIMS BBSR and diagnosed as having unilateral adhesive capsulitis of either shoulder, as per criteria mentioned below, with duration of symptoms less than 6 months. Diagnosis of adhesive capsulitis would be according to the following criteria:

i)The presence of shoulder pain

ii)Limitation of both active and passive movements of the glenohumeral joint of >=25% in at list 2 directions (abduction, flexion, external rotation, internal rotation), as compared with the contralateral shoulder

2)If bilateral shoulders are involved and qualify for inclusion, only the dominant arm would be considered for intervention.

3)Age between 18 and 70 years

Exclusion Criteria

1)Patients with inflammatory joint disease.

2)Patients who have previously undergone any intra-articular injection/invasive procedure/surgery in the shoulder joint.

3)Patients with structural/functional limitations in the shoulder joint from any other pre-existing musculoskeletal pathology or neurologic disorder.

4)Patients with poor cognitive status who are unable to follow exercise program
