Primary Outcome Measures
NameTimeMethod
The aim of this study is to evaluate whether dexamethasone has a greater efficacy in the control of pain, edema and trismus in relation to etoricoxib after third molar extraction. Verified by visual analog scale in 7 days (pain), measurement of 5 facial measures in the preoperative and postoperative periods of 72h (edema) and measurement of inter-incisal distance in the preoperative and postoperative periods of 72h (trismus ).;It was observed that dexamethasone was more effective in controlling edema when compared to etoricoxib with p-value = 0.028.<br>There was no statistically significant difference for pain and trismus assessments.
Secondary Outcome Measures
NameTimeMethod
It is expected to evaluate whether dexamethasone is more effective than etoricoxib in controlling trismus after extractions of lower third molars; No difference was observed between dexamethasone and etoricoxib in the control of trismo after exodontia of lower third molars
