Inclusion Criteria
1.Adult patients >=18 years of either sex admitted to the ICU.
2.Intubated in the day-1 of ICU stay, either in the emergency department or in operation theater or in the ICU itself.
3.Requires invasive mechanical ventilation for at least 24-hours.
Exclusion Criteria
1.Patients < 18 years old.
2.Intubated and ventilated for >24 hours in another hospital or in any other ICU.
3.Patients anticipated to have inevitable death.
