Type 2 diabetic subjects in the age-group of 30 -70 yrs with diabetes of 1-10 years duration and whose HbA1C level ranged between 7 – 10 % were recruited for the study. These patients had not previously undergone any specialized relaxation training and volunteered to participate in the study.
Patients diagnosed with advanced diabetic complications - ongoing treatment for retinopathy/ renal impairment/ symptomatic or unstable heart disease / uncontrolled BP were excluded from the study
