• ASA physical status I-II
• aged 20-65 yr (adults)

Exclusion Criteria

• rhinitis
• bleeding diatheses
• requirement of awake intubation
• a previous major oral and maxillofacial surgery history
• anatomical deformity of the face, neck and upper airway
