Clinical arms: Inclusion criteria include depressive disorders, an age between 18 and 59 years, sufficient tetanus vaccination status, the availability of sturdy footwear and weatherproof clothing, and German language skills.
General population: Age between 18 and 59 years, sufficient tetanus vaccination status, the availability of sturdy footwear and weatherproof clothing as well as German language skills.
Absolute exclusion criteria are manic episodes as well as delusional and other severe psychiatric disorders as comorbid diseases, physical impairments that may limit mobility in the field and incapacity to give consent. The medical director / chief physician of the facilities will select eligible patients for the program.
