Inclusion Criteria
Waist circumference = 88 cm for women or = 102 cm for men
BMI between 25-40 kg / m²
Sufficient German language skills, Written consent
Exclusion Criteria
Acute infectious disease,
Severe chronic illness,
Cancer (exception: breast, prostate and colorectal carcinoma in remission),
Insulin-treated diabetes mellitus,
Psychiatric diseases, e.g. major depression,
Pregnancy / Breastfeeding,
Other reasons at the discretion of the family doctor

- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method change (decrease) in patient's waist circumference and weight at study start, after 12 weeks, and after 9 months
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Systolic and diastolic blood pressure,<br>Lipid status (total, LDL, HDL cholesterol, triglycerides)<br>Fasting plasma glucose, HbA1c,<br>Change in dietary behavior, change in physical activity, change in subjective well-being (WHO -5 - well-being questionnaire),<br>Change of ESC, Framingham Score. All measurments will be taken at Study Start, after 12 weeks, and after 9 months.
