Brief Summary

Study is multiple arm participant blind prospective randomized clinical trial for evaluation of role of poly floral honey, Irimeda( Acacia Farnesiana Wild.) on paediatric oral flora and hygiene. Volunteers will be selected from OPD dept. of kaumarabhritya of Shri khudadad dungaji govt. ayurved  hospital and schools from Raipur Chhattisgarh. Three groups A, B, C will be taken into clinical trial each containing 20 subjects. where group A will receive Honey group B will receive Honey with Irimeda stem bark churn churna and group C will be given regular toothpaste for brushing for 15 days. Assessment will be done on the basis of subjective and objective parameters before and after intervention.

Inclusion Criteria

• Children of both sex male/female of age group 12 to 16 years.
• Children not having any oral disease i.e. Dental carries, Tonsillitis, Pharyngitis.
• Children with complaint of halitosis, plaque.
• Children with no h/o antibiotic consumption for last 3 months.
• Children only with vegetarian diet.
• Willing and able to participate for the study duration of 15 days.
• Consent obtained from respective parents/Guardians.
• Willing to follow the instructions given for the study.

Exclusion Criteria

• Children of both sexes Male/Female age below 12years and above 16 years.
• Children having any oral disease like Tonsillitis, Pharyngitis, Dental carries.
• Children with history of antibiotic consumption in last 3 months.
• Children consuming Non-vegetarian or mix diet.
• Having any addiction i.e. tobacco chewing, smoking, pan etc.
