Inclusion Criteria

1. Patients suffering from minimum 5 of the cardinal signs and symptoms of acid peptic disorders-

a)sour or pungent eructations/belching

b)retrosternal /throat burning

c)epigastric burning/pain

d)Nausea

e)regurgitation/ vomiting

f)unsatisfactory digestion

g)loss of appetite

h)heaviness in body

i)tiredness in absence of physical activity

2. Patients on prolonged treatment with NSAIDs

3) Patients willing to comply with study procedures and requirements

Exclusion Criteria

Patients suffering from following conditions, if any-

1.Hemoglobin <=7mg%.

2.Known history of carcinogenic pathology, severe per rectal bleed etc.

3.Known history of coagulopathies.

4.Liver function criteria found to be 2.5 times the upper normal limits.

5.Known history of severe cardiac, pulmonary, hepatic or renal diseases like Coronary Artery Disease, Cardiomyopathy, Pleural effusion, Pneumonia, Hepatitis, Liver Cirrhosis, Nephropathy, Nephritis, etc.

6.Pregnant or Lactating women.

7.Patients who participated in any clinical trial within 30 days before enrolment into the study

Changes with improvement in gastric mucosa in patients with peptic ulcer.Timepoint: Day 29- Gastroendoscopy will be repeated post the study for patients with ulcer for comparison
