Inclusion Criteria
Subacute stage of stroke
Ability to understand command
Voluntary control grade(Brunnstrom stages of recovery) 3, 4, 5
Spasticity grade (Modified Ashworth)1, 1+, 2
At least 10º of active fingers and wrist extension
Exclusion Criteria
contraindications to NMES
contraindications to faradic stimulation
injury in last 3 months to upper limb of affected side
cognitive dysfunction
previous episode of stroke
