Inclusion Criteria
All children ASA 1/2 under the age of 18 years posted for unilateral inguinal hernia and hydrocele surgery will be included in the study.
Exclusion Criteria
1. ASA 3/4
2. History of liver and renal disorders
3. Coagulopathies and bleeding disorder
4. Infection at injection site
5. Allergy to local anaesthetic/ paracetamol
6. Patient and Guardian refusal

Name Time Method Time to first analgesicTimepoint: 1. Time from the block is given till the patient has a pain score of more than 3 will be observed. <br/ ><br>2. Pain scores will be assessed from immediate post extubation till upto 36 hours. <br/ ><br>3. Time to first paracetamol dose required will be calculated from the time block is given. <br/ ><br>4. In case within 6 hours of paracetamol the patient has a pain score of more than 3, he/ she will be given Ibuprofen 7 mg/kg body weight.
