- To compare the use of Ketamine Gargle and KY Jelly in reducing the post operative sore throat following General Anaesthesia.

Purpose of the trial is to compare the efficacy of Ketamine Gargle over KY Jelly for prophylaxis of postoperative sore throat in General Anaesthesia.
To see whether the patient is having less postoperative sore throat ,coughing and hoarseness of voice when Ketamine Gargle is used 5 minutes before induction over application of KY Jelly to endotracheal tube during induction

入选标准
- •Patients willing to participate in the study.
- •Patients in age group of 18-65 years.
- •Patient fulfilling criteria for intubation under General Anesthesia.
- •Patient undergoing surgical procedures under General Anaesthesia.
- •Duration of Surgery 2-3 hours .
- •ASA I & 2 7)MPC I & II .
排除标准
- •Lack of valid informed written consent .
- •ASA grade 3 & 4 .
- •Patients with history of prior or recent sore throat, patients with known upper respiratory tract infection or lower respiratory tract infection.
- •Patients with known allergy, sensitivity or any other form of reaction to study drug.

- 1) Number of patients complaining of post operative sore throat(2) Correlation of duration of intubation with the occurrence of postoperative throat pain.)
