a.Adhesive Capsulitis Diagnosis: In order to be eligible, participants must have had an adhesive capsulitis diagnosis within the previous six months from a medical professional.
b.Criteria for the Diagnosis of Adhesive Capsulitis: The American Physical Therapy Association has established the following criteria for the diagnosis:
i. A 50% reduction in passive external rotation motion of the glenohumeral (GH) in comparison to the unaffected side.
ii. GH motion deficits, relative to the unaffected side, of more than 25% in at least two other GH movements besides external rotation.
iii. Pain related to mobility loss that has persisted for a minimum of one month at the time of diagnosis.
iv. Deficits in movement and pain that have been reported for at least a month at the time of diagnosis, either stable or getting worse during that time.
1.Individuals with bilateral frozen shoulder are excluded, ensuring that the study focuses on unilateral adhesive capsulitis.
2.Participants with systemic and/or neurologic diseases are excluded, as these conditions may confound the study results.
3.Individuals with self-reported pathologic conditions of the cervical/thoracic region, elbow, or wrist/hand are excluded. This helps maintain a more homogenous study population with a primary focus on adhesive capsulitis.
4.Recent surgeries from past 6 months
