Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •1\) Adult patients \>15 years
- •2\) \> 15 % flame/electric/scald/chemical (2nd and 3rd degree) burns
- •3\) Time elapsed since burns not \> 12 hrs
Exclusion Criteria
- •1\) \< 15 years of age
- •2\) \< 15% TBSA burns
- •3\) Index presentation \> 12 hours
- •4\) Pregnant patients
- •5\) Known comorbidities like COPD, CKD, CLD and CHF
- •6\) Who received fluids other than RL and isotonic bicarbonate prior to admission
