- •CRITICALLY ILL PATIENT ADMITTED IN ICU REQUIRING
- •CENTRAL VENOUS CATHETERIZATION FOR VARIOUS REASO
Exclusion Criteria
- •COAGULOPATHIES/PATIENT ON HEPARIN OR WARFARIN,
- •DISTORTED CHEST ANATOMY,
- •SUPERIOR VENA CAVA SYNDROME,
- •INFECTION AT THE CANNULATION SITE,
- •PREGNANT PATIENTS,
- •PATIENTS WITH OBVIOUS SOURCE OF INFECTION WILL BE
- •EXCLUDED ( FEVER, PNEUMONIA, URINARY TRACT
- •INFECTION, CELLULITIS, SEPTICEMIA) BY HISTORY, CLINICAL
- •EXAMINATION, BLOOD CULTURE, CHEST XRAY, URINE
- •EXAMINATION ETC. AND RELEVANT INVESTIGATIONS
