Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •CRITICALLY ILL PATIENT ADMITTED IN ICU REQUIRING
  • •CENTRAL VENOUS CATHETERIZATION FOR VARIOUS REASO

Exclusion Criteria

  • •COAGULOPATHIES/PATIENT ON HEPARIN OR WARFARIN,
  • •DISTORTED CHEST ANATOMY,
  • •SUPERIOR VENA CAVA SYNDROME,
  • •INFECTION AT THE CANNULATION SITE,
  • •PREGNANT PATIENTS,
  • •PATIENTS WITH OBVIOUS SOURCE OF INFECTION WILL BE
  • •EXCLUDED ( FEVER, PNEUMONIA, URINARY TRACT
  • •INFECTION, CELLULITIS, SEPTICEMIA) BY HISTORY, CLINICAL
  • •EXAMINATION, BLOOD CULTURE, CHEST XRAY, URINE
  • •EXAMINATION ETC. AND RELEVANT INVESTIGATIONS
