Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •1\. Walailak University student, aged 18 \- 24 years
- •2\. Individuals with chronic neck pain (lasting 3 months or more) on the dominant side
- •3\. Having myofascial pain syndrome in upper trapezius muscle on the dominant side
- •4\. Having pain scale of 3 points or higher
Exclusion Criteria
- •1\. Previously diagnosed with neck pain and radiating symptoms such as cervical spondylolisthesis, cervical spondylosis, cervical stenosis, or cervical herniated nucleus pulposus.
- •2\. Previously diagnosed with other spinal\-related conditions such as fractures, tumors, or rheumatic fever.
- •3\. Have undergone surgery in the neck or shoulder area.
- •4\. Taking analgesics or anti\-inflammatory drugs.
- •5\. Previously diagnosed with mental disorders or conditions affecting sensory perception, thoughts, or emotions.
- •6\. Previously diagnosed with cancer, psoriasis, scleroderma, or viral and bacterial infections.
- •7\. Having contraindications for extracorporeal shock wave therapy, such as pregnancy, having a cardiac pacemaker, heart and vascular diseases, or bleeding disorders due to coagulation issues.
